AM/DM - CAPEX Procurement

Position Summary

• We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Professional with strong expertise in CAPEX procurement for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical industries.
• This role requires 7+ years of experience in high-value procurement, deep knowledge of SAP MM, and strong commercial acumen.
• The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement, global sourcing, vendor development, and cost optimization while ensuring compliance with international standards, commercial terms, and supply chain risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Requisition & Specification Review
• Validate Material Purchase Requisitions (MPR) for completeness, technical accuracy, and compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Ensure alignment with applicable international codes and industry standards.
• RFQ & Tendering
• Prepare and issue RFQs to approved and potential global vendors.
• Resolve vendor technical and commercial queries in collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
• Ensure all tender documents clearly define Incoterms, transit insurance, payment milestones, LD/penalties, warranties, and other commercial terms.
• Lead negotiations on price, delivery schedules, and risk-sharing mechanisms to optimize cost and minimize exposure.
• Evaluation & Purchase Orders
• Conduct techno-commercial bid evaluations, applying should-cost analysis and market benchmarks.
• Prepare Comparison Statements (CS) with full commercial risk assessment.
• Create and release Purchase Orders (PO) in SAP MM and manage amendments through the project lifecycle.
• Expediting & Quality Assurance
• Monitor order execution, vendor progress, inspection milestones, and logistics readiness.
• Ensure Third-Party Inspection (TPI) and quality assurance requirements are in place before dispatch.
• Oversee transport, transit insurance coverage, and delivery risk management until site handover.
