Lead - Software Testing & QA

Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with 8 to 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. \The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automated testing performance testing and a strong background in Agile environments. This is a hybrid position based in Chennai and the selected candidate will be on our company payroll. Key Responsibilities: Lead QA efforts in both manual and automated testing for complex software platforms. Design develop and execute test strategies and test plans. Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools. Conduct performance testing and optimize application response using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Manage and track defects using bug tracking systems such as Jira. Collaborate closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders in Agile teams. Integrate testing processes with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery. Mentor junior QA team members and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Skills & Attributes: Must-Have Skills: 8--10 years of experience in Software Testing & QA. Minimum 3 years in a QA Lead or equivalent leadership role. Strong understanding of testing methodologies QA processes and tools. Experience testing complex platforms or enterprise-level applications. Hands-on experience with test automation tools especially Selenium. Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipeline integration. Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal). Strong team player with leadership qualities.
