Job Description

Location :- Mumbai ( Lower Parel )

Core Responsibilities

1. Procurement Planning & Strategy

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.

• Forecast procurement needs based on production, sales, or project plans.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize spending.

2. Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation

• Identify and qualify new suppliers.

• Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.

• Maintain a reliable supplier database.

3. Negotiation & Contract Management

• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.

• Draft, review, and manage contracts and purchase agreements.

• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.

4. Purchase Order (PO) Management

• Create and process purchase orders.

• Track order status and ensure on-time delivery.

• Resolve issues related to delays, quantity, or quality discrepancies.

5. Inventory & Material Management

• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

• Prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

• Monitor lead times and reorder points.

6. Cost Control & Budget Management

• Monitor procurement budgets and spending.

• Analyze cost trends and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

• Prepare purchasing reports and KPIs.

7. Vendor Relationship Management

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

• Handle disputes, returns, and performance problems.

• Conduct regular reviews and renegotiations.

8. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.

• Manage procurement-related risks (supplier failure, price fluctuation, etc.).

• Implement ethical purchasing practices.

9. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with finance, production, logistics, and quality departments.

• Communicate material availability and procurement issues.

• Support new product development with sourcing solutions.

10. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate procurement records.

• Generate regular reports for management: spend analysis, supplier performance, inventory status, etc.

• Use ERP or procurement software effectively.
