AM-ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT

Basic Function

Specific Responsibilities

• Receive and analyze project requests through proper channel, estimate the scope, timelines, and any other specific requirements. Work with global counterparts to facilitate proactive decision making and problem solving

• Independently lead and complete electronics development projects for advanced technologies team through strong knowledge in Hardware design not limited to Analog, High speed and Mixed signal design.
• Strong knowledge of Altium, STM Cube or Similar development tools.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Power converters like LDO, Buck, Boost power regulators and basic electronic components like OPAMPs, ADC, DAC and Logic circuits (logic gates, MCU, MPU).
• Must have experience in various Hardware interfaces like IIC, SPI, UART, USB, MIPI and SDIO.
• Should be able to design and develop analog front end circuits for various sensors, Actuators, solenoids and Electromagnetic components.
• Should be able to develop electronic architecture as per the problem statement.
• Should be able to develop HW schematics and basic PCB layout using any of the ECAD tools.
• Should be able to develop basic application code using STM cube or Arduino IDE.
• Able to individually develop, build and test prototypes using generic electronic components and eval kits.
• Should have exposure to embedded platforms like Arduino, Raspberry pi, ESP32, STM32.
• Show good knowledge in Electronics Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly.
• Should be able to independently participate in AD projects as a team member on activities including technical research, technology scouting, literature survey, cost estimation and analysis
• Should keep abreast of new technologies. Perform competitor benchmarking analysis and track the latest industry trends
• Develop and present concepts and solutions based on technical requirements and design calculations.
• Propose design solutions with the advantages and challenges and mitigation plan for challenges.
• Work with product engineering, marketing, Industrial Design, and other cross-functional team members as needed
• Ensure regulatory compliances are met by applying best industry practices.
• Own and execute the project as per the given scope & timeline.
• Work in coordination with the reporting manager and peers to execute assigned deliverables by ensuring timeline and quality. Keep the manager updated on all project related issues, concerns and achievements and offer suggestions to make learned decisions.
• Ensure project status is up to date and periodic health reports are sent to management regularly
• Generate and manage daily time logs and related reports
• Create Miscellaneous documentation as assigned.

• Frequent contact with Equivalent counterparts of Product Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Design, and Manufacturing to develop industry leading innovations.
• Frequent contact with lab technicians and Model shop technicians to direct development efforts.
• Regular contact with the Legal Department to file & evaluate patents.
• Regular contact with Procurement and Logistics team
  

External Business Relationships

• Occasional contact with Third party service providers, Vendors and Suppliers
• Occasional attendance at engineering and trade shows and seminars to investigate new technologies, products, processes, and in general to improve overall knowledge.
• Occasional contact with outside consultants/universities/analysts/scientists and/or implementation beyond in-house capabilities or resource limitations.
  

Education/Experience

• Master of Engineering degree/Bachelor of Engineering degree or Master of Science with 6 to 9 years of experience in Electronics engineering or related domain
