Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced L3 Support Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team, specializing in IBM AIX OS, IBM Power servers preferably with SAP Basis administration. The candidate will be responsible for delivering expert-level support, troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing system performance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and performance of enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide L3-level support for IBM AIX operating systems on IBM Power servers.
• Perform system performance tuning, patch management, OS upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Manage LPAR/DLPAR, VIOS, NIM, and HMC configurations and maintenance.
• Monitor and ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) setups for SAP on AIX.
• Coordinate with storage, network, and SAP application teams to resolve issues and implement changes.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and recommend long-term fixes.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Participate in capacity planning, system audits, and compliance checks.
• Assist in migrations, system refreshes, and other project-related activities involving SAP and AIX infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with internal security and governance standards.

Required Skills :

• Expertise in IBM Power server architecture, including LPAR, VIOS, and HMC management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, preferably in AIX environments.
• Experience with backup & recovery tools and strategies (e.g., TSM, BRTools).
• Proficient with shell scripting for automation and system management.
• Familiarity with storage (SAN/NAS) integration and performance optimization.
• Excellent understanding of ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management.
• Ability to work independently and lead troubleshooting efforts for critical issues.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM AIX in enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

• IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX / Power Systems.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration.
• Experience with cloud migration or hybrid AIX/SAP environments is a plus.
• Exposure to tools like Solution Manager, Monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix), and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
