Job Title: GitHub Copilot Adoption Framework (GCAF) Collaborative Engineer

Location: Remote

Overview:

We are seeking AI-forward Software Engineers with expert-level knowledge of GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q. This role is unique as it combines hands-on coding, mentorship, and developer enablement. You will work with a team of ~50 engineers, delivering structured, collaborative training on generative AI tools. Flexibility is key due to evolving schedules and rotation plans.

As a Microsoft Partner with nine specializations, GitHub AI Partner of the Year, a member of the GitHub Advisory Board, and the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), they deliver cutting-edge, integrated solutions across Applications, Data & AI, DevOps, Security, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver structured developer sprints focused on GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q.
  • Lead live coding sessions, demonstrations, and collaborative labs.
  • Mentor developers on prompt engineering, debugging, and feature implementation.
  • Develop and maintain instructional materials (curriculum, documentation, best practices).
  • Adapt instructional strategies based on participant feedback and progress.
  • Promote responsible AI usage, including security, ethics, and data privacy.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Generative AI expertise, including MCP usage and agentic orchestration.
  • Expert knowledge of GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q (Copilot Chat agents, Amazon Q’s /dev command).
  • Advanced prompt engineering skills.
  • Understanding of Copilot Enterprise and Amazon Q for Business (RAG, internal codebase reasoning).
  • Intermediate knowledge of LLM fundamentals, AI ethics, and security practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for generative AI and developer enablement

Instructional & Communication Skills:

  • Experience in curriculum development and technical training.
  • Strong mentoring and facilitation skills.
  • Advanced live coding and demonstration capabilities.
  • Solid technical writing skills for post-sprint resources

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in at least one language: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
  • Expertise with IDEs such as VS Code and JetBrains.
  • Strong understanding of GitHub Flow, Agile practices, and version control.
  • Intermediate knowledge of cloud and DevOps (AWS, IaC, CI/CD).
  • Strong debugging and testing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud or DevOps certifications (AWS preferred).
  • Contributions to open-source or developer communities.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in instructional settings.
