About the Role

The Admission Officer plays a vital role in driving student enrollments for commerce professional courses (CA, CMA, ACCA, CS, etc.). The role involves student counseling, lead management, and ensuring smooth admission processes while building strong student and parent relationships.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling & Career Guidance

  • Counsel prospective students and parents on commerce professional courses and career opportunities.
  • Understand student background and suggest the most suitable program.
  • Address queries with clarity and professionalism, ensuring a positive student experience.

2. Lead Generation & Conversion

  • Handle inquiries from multiple sources (walk-ins, calls, digital, B2B seminars, referrals).
  • Follow up promptly through calls, WhatsApp, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly admission targets by converting leads to enrollments.
  • Track inquiry-to-admission conversion ratio.

3. Admission Process Management

  • Assist students with admission forms, eligibility checks, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the accounts team for fee collection and installment tracking.
  • Ensure proper data entry and record maintenance in CRM/ERP systems.
  • Provide onboarding details to students post-admission.

4. Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Participate in school/college seminars, career counseling sessions, and exhibitions.
  • Build strong relationships with principals, HODs, and student communities.
  • Represent the institute professionally at external and internal events.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain daily records of inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly MIS reports.
  • Work closely with the marketing and academic coordination teams for smooth operations.

6. Student Relationship Management

  • Act as the first point of contact for students and parents during admission.
  • Handle concerns and provide necessary support to ensure satisfaction.
  • Encourage referrals from existing students and alumni.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate in Commerce, Management, or related field.
  • Prior experience in counseling, sales, or admissions (education industry preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and email communication.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of inquiries handled and follow-ups completed.
  • Inquiry-to-admission conversion ratio.
  • Admission target achievement (monthly/quarterly).
  • Accuracy of admission documentation and fee collection.
  • Student/parent satisfaction and referrals generated.
