Role Summary

The OpenShift Administrator will be responsible for deployment, management, and ongoing maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift clusters supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). The role ensures seamless operation, performance optimization, and security of containerized enterprise applications hosted on Azure or AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift platforms on

  Azure/AWS

  .
• Perform comprehensive cluster maintenance including patching, configuration changes, and operator lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot issues related to

  pods, services, networking, CRDs, storage classes

  , and overall cluster health.
• Handle cluster creation and lifecycle management in

  ROSA (AWS)

  and

  ARO (Azure)

  .
• Create and update

  Ansible playbooks

  for Maximo Application Suite (MAS) deployment.
• Set up and manage monitoring tools such as

  Instana, Grafana, and Prometheus

  .
• Collaborate with Maximo development and functional teams to ensure environment availability and readiness.
• Implement

  backup and restore policies

  for cluster components, customer resources, and MongoDB.
• Implement and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  and container lifecycle workflows.
• Use

  Terraform

  for provisioning and infrastructure-as-code tasks.
• Prepare system documentation, runbooks, and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Work with security teams to harden environments and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Manage certificates and maintain compliance with

  ITIL processes

  .
• Conduct infrastructure sizing assessments for OpenShift cluster setup.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in

  Linux

  and

  OpenShift administration

  .
• Strong hands-on experience with

  OpenShift installation and configuration

  on

  Azure/AWS

  .
• Expertise in

  RHEL, Docker, Kubernetes

  , and containerization concepts.
• Strong scripting skills in

  Bash/Python

  .
• Experience with

  MongoDB

  .
• Proven troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with

  Maximo Application Suite

  setup on cloud (preferred).

Preferred Certifications

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
