§ This is a strong technology and solution delivery role, accountable for the successful design, development, and delivery of ETL solutions on the corporate Data Platform – not only for self, also for a team of developers working on specific projects.
§ Lead and guide an Informatica based ETL architecture to handle complex business rules while balancing the fulfillment of stringent performance requirements.
§ Drive design and determine the ETL requirements for BI projects.
§ Partners with ETL developers through the development of complex ETL routines to load a dimensional star schema (and supporting layers) and develops error handling processes.
§ Perform an active, leading role in shaping and enhancing overall ETL Informatica architecture, including ETL standards, patterns and best practices.
§ Work with team to ensure standards and patterns are followed.
§ Determines organizational strategies for data integrity validation processes.
§ Establishes policies and best practices for optimizing ETL data throughput/accessibility
§ Identifies opportunities for new architectural initiatives; makes recommendations on the increasing scalability and robustness of ETL platforms and solutions.
§ Partner with the Data architect to drive improvements and enhancements to the current data landscape and future strategy.
§ Partner with Leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
§ Remain current on new ETL techniques and methodologies and communicate trends and opportunities to management and other developers as needed.
§ Identify opportunities for uses of those technologies to enhance current or anticipated information systems and business goals needs
§ Support ETL developers by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting and alternative development solutions.
§ Playing a key role in mentoring other staff members and a proven track record in knowledge transfer to other team members and departments.
§ Evaluates existing applications that could address client requirements and makes recommendations from complex projects.
§ Identifies alternative uses of technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems and that support overall corporate and business goals that are appropriately aligned with the enterprise architecture.
§ Identifies necessary changes to current business process.
§ Identifies opportunities for solution sharing and reuse.
§ Assists in the development of ETL-related Service Level Agreements.
§ Communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks.
§ 5 years hands on experience in Informatica PWC ETL development.
§ 7 years of experience in SQL, analytical (STAR schema) data modeling and Informatica PowerCenter.
§ 5 years of Redshift / Oracle (or comparable database) experience with BI/DW deployments.
§ Good to know cloud like AWS Services.
§ Must have proven experience with STAR and SNOWFLAKE schema techniques.
§ 7 years of experience in SQL, analytical (STAR schema) data modeling and Informatica PowerCenter.
§ 5 years hands on experience in Informatica PWC / IICS ETL development.
§ 5 years of Oracle (or comparable database) experience with BI/DW deployments.
§ Must have proven experience with STAR and SNOWFLAKE schema techniques.
§ Good to know cloud like AWS Services.
§ Proven track record as an ETL developer potentially to grow as an Architect, leading development teams to deliver successful business intelligence solutions with complex data sources.
§ Strong analytical skills and enjoys solving complex technical problems.
§ Knowledge on additional ETL tools (Qlik Replicate), End to End understanding of data from ingestion to transformation to consumption in Analytics will be great benefits.
§ Must have solid presentation, communication (on complex technical solutions) and inter-personal skills.
