About the Role


Ad Tech Architect


We're looking for more than just an operator; we need a builder. You will own our ad engine end-to-end, from strategic ad slot design and header bidding logic to complex integrations, analytics, and ensuring global compliance. This role is perfect for someone who has a proven track record of architecting GAM into a scalable, revenue-generating product, not just managing it. 


What You’ll Do


  • Architectural Leadership:

    Design and deploy a robust Google Ad Manager (GAM) infrastructure from scratch, or optimize our existing setup to a world-class standard. 
  • Deep Integration:

    Lead the technical integration of GAM across our digital properties (web and app), handling complex dynamic ad rendering scenarios like Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Client-Side Rendering (CSR), lazy loading, and ad refreshes. 
  • Monetization Strategy:

    Architect and implement our full ad stack strategy, including defining ad slot layouts, managing header bidding wrappers (e.g., Prebid.js), and optimizing auction logic and fallback mechanisms for maximum yield. 
  • Data & Analytics:

    Establish a comprehensive reporting and analytics pipeline using GAM APIs, Big Query, and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Take full ownership of key performance metrics such as fill rate, RPM, and viewability. 
  • Compliance & Privacy:

    Ensure our ad ecosystem is fully compliant with global privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. You will be responsible for integrating Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) and implementing Google's Consent Mode. 
  • Collaboration:

    Act as the subject matter expert on all things ad tech, collaborating closely with our Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to drive revenue and enhance user experience. 


You Should Have


  • 4–8 years of experience

    in the Ad Tech industry, with significant, hands-on experience in Google Ad Manager (GAM) integration. 
  • A proven ability to architect and embed GAM into complex product systems across web and mobile applications. 
  • A deep, practical understanding of ad serving logic, the programmatic advertising ecosystem, and yield optimization strategies. 
  • An engineering mindset with the ability to work effectively at the intersection of product, growth, and infrastructure teams. 
  • Strong analytical skills with an obsession for data, metrics, and deriving actionable insights. 


Bonus Points


  • Hands-on experience with other key ad tech components like Google Ad Exchange (AdX), Open Bidding, and header bidding platforms (Prebid.js). 
  • Expertise in mobile ad SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob) and the intricacies of mobile app ad monetization. 
  • Knowledge of privacy frameworks such as TCF 2.0 and the latest industry privacy changes. 
  • Experience with other ad tech platforms like DSPs or SSPs.
