Accounts Receivable Specialist

Summary Job Description:

· Staff accountant is responsible for performing month end close for about 10 Hotels.

o Review Payroll entries that are populated via Inova payroll software.

o Review and balance Daily hotel activity entry that is generated via the interface between accounting software M3 and hotel PMS system.

o Record bank statement journal entry

o Reconcile bank accounts.

o Make adjusting and accrual entries as necessary.

· Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP * Respond

· Ensure Cash deposits are made timely and cash and credit card deposit matches with PMS revenue.

· Reconcile BS accounts including Guest ledger and city ledger AR accounts.

· Review P&L by comparing budget and prior period to identify expenses over budget, unusual activity and duplicates.

· Assist in End of Year Audit Preparations

· Reporting and other tasks as needed and assigned.

Qualifications

· Certificate course or a degree in accounting

· 3-5 year work experience preferable but not required

· Proficient with Microsoft excel and word

· Public/US Accounting experience preferable.
