Accounts Receivable Lead

As an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Lead with a background in AR operations, preferably from the FMCG or Retail sector, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end AR process. Your role will involve leading billing, collections, credit management, and cash applications. You will ensure timely and accurate invoicing, follow-up, and reconciliation of customer accounts. Monitoring aging reports, reducing DSO, and handling customer disputes will be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will generate and analyze AR reports using advanced MS Excel skills like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros. Providing regular updates and insights to management, maintaining AR-related SOPs, and supporting audits are also part of your role. Training and mentoring junior AR staff may be required. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage end-to-end AR process including billing, collections, credit management, and cash applications. - Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, follow-up, and reconciliation of customer accounts. - Monitor aging reports, reduce DSO, and escalate overdue receivables appropriately. - Handle customer disputes and coordinate with internal teams for prompt resolution. - Generate and analyze AR reports using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.). - Provide regular updates and insights to management on receivables status and key metrics. - Maintain and improve AR-related SOPs and internal controls. - Support internal and external audits as required. - Train and mentor junior AR staff if applicable. Qualifications Required: - 7-10 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role. - Industry experience in FMCG or Retail is highly preferred. - Strong knowledge of AR concepts, processes, and best practices. - Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, formulas, conditional formatting, macros). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.) is a plus. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant certification is a plus). In addition to the above qualifications, you should be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, proactive, and have a hands-on attitude. You should be able to work under pressure, handle large volumes of data, and present meaningful insights. Being a team player with leadership capabilities will be an asset in this role.,
