Accounts (Contractor Billing) - Telecom Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities: -

1. Contractor Billing: -

• Collect & verify contractor progress data from field/site engineers.
• Ensure deduction (e.g. Penalties, advances, retentions) are applied correctly.
• Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for timely processing & payments.
• Maintain billing register & contractor payment status sheets

2. Material Reconciliation: -

• Maintain records of material issued to each contractor (Item-wise & Site-wise)
• Track consumption Vs work progress (e,g. OFC used per KM, joint closures per link).
• Analysis surplus, shortage and damage material reports from the site.
• Prepare Material Reconciliation Statement (MRS) on monthly / Quarterly basis
• Coordinate return of surplus material or raise debit note for shortages/losses

3. Documentation & MIS:-

• Maintain proper filing (physical & digital) of

o Contractor work order, MRNs. GRNs, Material Issue Slips, Gate passes.

o RA/Final Bills, JMRs, Certification sheets

• Generate MIS reports for billing progress, reconciliation & contractor account balances.
• Provide billing and reconciliation data during audits or projects review.

4. Coordination & Compliances

• Liaise with stores, site execution team, procurement and commercial team.
• Ensure compliance with contract clauses, statutory requirement (GST, WCT).
• Support during Internal & external audits.
• Ensure Contractor/Service Partner compliances – PF/ESI Registration, GST Registration & Labour license etc.
• Ensure Material safety – Material laying with Contractor/Service Partner for erection purposes.

Candidate Requirements: -

• Education: - Graduate/ Diploma in any discipline (Preferred Civil, Electrical or Telecom )
• Experience: 5+ years in Customer billing rolls in Contractor billing and material tracking in telecom EPC project.
• Knowledge of Telecom project billing practices (OFC laying, splicing, etc)
• Proficient in MS Excel & Oracle ERP
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.
• Understanding of contractual terms, GST, retention and deductions.

Preferred Background: -

• Experience with rural broadband projects.
• Familiarity with Gov billing documentation & process.
• Hand-on experience in reconciliation of high-volume material movement & contractors claims.
