Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager at Globalli will oversee bookkeeping, month-end reporting, and consolidation of financial statements for our operations across 125 countries. Partnering with the Head of Finance, this role ensures accurate accounting and timely, insightful reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant, experienced in multi-entity, multi-currency operations, ambitious, and able to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment. The role requires overlap with the US Eastern Time zone and someone who understands the demands of a global startup.

What You'll Do

Process & Controls Development

• Assist in establishing scalable processes and internal controls as Globalli continues rapid expansion.
• Partner with the Head of Finance to refine accounting policies and procedures compliant with applicable standards.
• Implement checks and controls that balance accuracy, speed, and compliance across all accounting workflows.

Core Accounting Operations

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, including posting revenue and expenses, payroll entries, and month-end accruals.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany journal entries.
• Manage month-end close activities, including consolidations and balance sheet reconciliations, leading to financial statement preparation.
• Produce timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly and budget variance reports.

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable

• Own invoicing and accounts receivable management; including actively monitoring collections.
• Manage accounts payable: review vendor invoices, verify approvals, resolve issues and prepare payments in accordance with policy.
• Oversee onboarding of new vendors, ensuring proper documentation is collected.

Treasury Operations

• Maintain full visibility into the company's treasury and cash movements; ensuring timely movement of funds across global bank accounts to meet operational needs.
• Coordinate closely with Payroll Operations and HR to support internal and external payroll disbursements.
• Support the opening of new bank accounts in various jurisdictions, collaborating with Legal and Compliance for required documentation.

Compliance

• Lead sales tax, VAT, and other regulatory reporting, filings, and payments across jurisdictions.
• Assist with corporate tax filings in multiple countries.
• Support audits and financial reviews as needed.

Ad Hoc Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Support special projects tied to evolving business needs and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with Payroll Operations through regular syncs, ensuring payroll readiness and contributing to enhancements on Globalli's HR tech and payroll product platform.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity, multi-currency international environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, consolidations, and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern accounting systems preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort partnering across teams and time zones.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AR/AP, treasury management, and statutory compliance.
• Fluency or proficiency in additional languages, such as Spanish.
• Experience working in a SaaS or tech startup environment.
• Prior exposure to global payroll operations or multi-country financial compliance.
