Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced GST Accountant to manage all aspects of Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance and accounting. The ideal candidate will handle GST registration, filing, reconciliation, and compliance in line with government regulations, while also supporting overall financial accounting functions. Key Responsibilities: GST Compliance & Filing Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) Maintain proper GST records, invoices, and supporting documentation. Ensure timely GST registration, amendments, and cancellations when required. GST Reconciliation & Reporting Reconcile GST data between books of accounts and GST portal. Identify mismatches and resolve discrepancies with vendors and customers. Generate and submit accurate GST reports to management. Tax Advisory & Updates Stay updated on GST laws, amendments, and government notifications. Provide guidance to management and other departments on GST applicability for transactions. General Accounting Support Handle journal entries, ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation. Support statutory audits and internal audits related to GST. Assist in TDS, income tax compliance, and other statutory filings as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter preferred). Proven experience as an Accountant with GST expertise (minimum 2 years). Strong knowledge of GST laws, return filing procedures, and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar). Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills for vendor and internal coordination. Preferred Attributes: Certification or training in GST laws.
