Job Description – Accountant Department: Accounts & Finance Location: Delhi Reporting To: Managing Director / Finance Manager Role Overview:The Accountant will be responsible for managing the complete accounting cycle of the company. This includes daily bookkeeping, GST & TDS compliance, financial reporting, vendor and customer ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and coordination with auditors. The candidate must ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all financial tasks. Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain day-to-day accounts in Tally/ERP system. Record all purchase, sales, journal, payment, and receipt entries. Prepare and maintain cash book, bank book, and petty cash records. Monthly closing of books and reconciliation. 2. Banking & Reconciliation Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS) on a regular basis. Handle online banking transactions, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements. Monitor cash flow and prepare fund requirements. 3. GST & Taxation Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B). Maintain GST input/output registers. Ensure timely TDS deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns. Assist in annual GST audit and statutory audit. 4. Compliance & Documentation Prepare balance sheet, P&L, and other financial statements. Maintain books as per Companies Act norms. Ensure compliance with MCA requirements (ROC support documents). Coordinate with CA, auditors, and consultants for tax, audit, and statutory matters. 5. Payroll & Employee Accounting Process monthly payroll, salary sheets, and PF/ESI challans. Maintain employee advances, loan records, and reimbursements. 6. Vendor & Customer Management Maintain accounts payable and receivable. Prepare vendor ledgers and customer outstanding statements. Follow up for payments and manage credit control. 7. MIS & Financial Reporting Prepare monthly MIS reports for management. Track expenses, profitability, and budget variance. Provide financial insights for decision-making. 8. Inventory & Asset Management Monitor stock records in coordination with the store department. Prepare stock valuation reports. Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedule. Skills & Qualifications Required:B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification. 3–5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting. Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance. Proficiency in Tally ERP / Busy / Other accounting software. Excellent Excel and reporting skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
