Accountant

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. You will play a crucial role in the financial health of the organization.  Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate postings. Reconcile bank accounts and other financial accounts. Prepare journal entries and adjust accounts as needed. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (corporate, sales, and income tax). Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Work with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues. Prepare financial reports and forecasts. Provide financial insights to management to support decision-making. Auditing: Assist with internal and external audits. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation. Respond to audit queries and provide necessary information. Cost Accounting: Analyze costs and expenses to identify areas for improvement. Prepare cost reports and variance analysis. Other Duties: Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Provide support to other departments as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
