We are a fast-growing e-commerce company specializing in [briefly describe your products or market]. As we scale our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Accountant to join our team and take ownership of the company’s financial health.

Position Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, tax compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy and helping guide data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare and file tax returns (GST, VAT, TDS, etc.) and liaise with tax consultants/auditors.
• Coordinate with internal teams (sales, operations, marketing) to ensure financial alignment.
• Analyze financial data to support pricing, profit margins, and business decisions.
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, etc.) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce) for integrated reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification is a plus).
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
