As we scale our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Accountant to join our team and take ownership of the company’s financial health. Position Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, tax compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy and helping guide data-driven business decisions. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Manage inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting. Prepare and file tax returns (GST, VAT, TDS, etc.) and liaise with tax consultants/auditors. Coordinate with internal teams (sales, operations, marketing) to ensure financial alignment. Analyze financial data to support pricing, profit margins, and business decisions. Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, etc.) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce) for integrated reporting. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification is a plus). 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP or e-commerce platforms is a plus. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Why Join Us?
