Job Title: Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Accountant with a background in financial institutions. The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of experience in internal audits, compliance audits, operational risk assessments, and the development of risk registers, risk control matrices (RCM), and Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and policy adherence.
• Manage GST compliance including returns filing, reconciliation, and addressing notices/queries.
• Handle direct and indirect taxation (Income Tax, TDS, GST, Professional Tax, etc.).
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
• Prepare and maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and financial statements as per statutory norms.
• Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and tax audits; ensure timely closure of audit requirements.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, vendor/customer balances, and tax-related transactions.
• Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and MIS reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in internal audit, compliance audit, or operational risk management within financial institutions.
• Experience in drafting and maintaining policies and SOPs.
• Previous experience in fintech, payments companies, or cryptocurrency exchanges is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST laws, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management strategies, and internal control evaluations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
