About the Role

highly experienced SLED Account Manager

established SLED POCs and networks

Key Responsibilities

  • Worked with

    State, Local Government and Education (SLED) clients in the USA

    to understand IT staffing and service requirements.
  • Develop and manage direct client relationships

    (not MSP/VMS-driven) with personalized and strategic engagement.
  • Expand business footprint by

    acquiring new direct clients

    and growing opportunities within existing SLED accounts.
  • Build long-term stakeholder and decision-maker relationships across agencies, departments and educational institutions.
  • Design and recommend

    innovative staffing models and IT solutions

    to address client pain points.
  • Drive

    business development efforts

    – from identifying opportunities to closing deals – ensuring revenue growth and client retention.
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of proven experience

    in IT staffing, account management, or business development with direct client handling.
  • Strong track record of

    winning and managing SLED accounts

    (State, Counties, US Federal/State departments).
  • Preference for candidates who have worked with

    states like South Carolina, New York, Massachusetts, Florida, etc.

  • Strong network of client POCs and decision-makers

    in the State, Local and Education sectors (existing POCs highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in

    revenue generation, meeting/exceeding monthly targets and achieving gross margin goals

    .
  • Excellent

    communication, negotiation and presentation skills

    with a consultative selling approach.
  • Ability to

    break into new accounts

    through persistence, outreach and relationship-building.
  • Strong business acumen, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Flexibility to work in US EST time zone.
