Position: Accounts HeadLocation: BhubaneswarDepartment: Finance & AccountsReports to: Managing Director
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounts Head to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with extensive experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Management:
· Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
· Develop and maintain financial systems to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
· Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
· Manage company finances in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
· Budgeting & Forecasting:
· Lead the annual budgeting process and work with department heads to prepare budgets.
· Provide forecasts and financial analyses to support business decisions.
· Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the budget.
· Compliance & Audit:
· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
· Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
· Prepare and file statutory reports and returns as required.
· Strategic Planning:
· Participate in strategic planning and provide financial insights to support company goals.
· Identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to mitigate risks.
· Team Leadership:
· Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous development and adherence to best practices.
· Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
· Stakeholder Management:
· Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives.
· Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, and banks.
Qualifications:
· Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
· Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
· In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
· Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
