Role Objective

To lead and control the Accounts & Finance function by ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, effective cash flow management, robust internal controls, and accurate financial reporting to support business growth and management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Control

  • Overall ownership of accounting, finance, taxation, banking, and compliance functions.
  • Establish and enforce financial policies, SOPs, approval matrices, and internal controls.
  • Final authority on accounting judgments, provisions, and financial governance.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate project-wise, site-wise, and vertical-wise P&L reporting.
  • Present MIS, variance analysis, and financial insights to management.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Overall responsibility for GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC compliances.
  • Review and approve GST returns, TDS returns, Form 16/16A, and statutory reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with CA, auditors, consultants, and handle assessments, audits, and notices.

Banking, Treasury & Fund Management

  • Manage cash flows, working capital, and fund planning.
  • Oversight of payment cycles, bank reconciliations, and statutory payments.
  • Liaison with banks for CC limits, loans, BGs, EMDs, renewals, compliance.

Budgeting & Business Support

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and fund requirement planning.
  • Analyse budget versus actual variances and provide strategic recommendations to management for corrective measures.
  • Support management with cost control, margin analysis, and financial feasibility.

Audit & Risk Management

  • Overall coordination of statutory, tax, and internal audits.
  • Ensure closure of audit observations and strengthening of internal controls.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead, mentor, and review the Accounts & Finance team performance.
  • Define KPIs, ensure timelines, and drive process improvements and automation.
  • Act as escalation point for inter-departmental financial matters.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Regular interaction with management, auditors, banks, consultants, and internal departments.
  • Ensure timely and transparent financial reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, and Corporate Laws
  • Leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Strong control orientation and stakeholder management

Qualification & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant / M.Com. / MBA Finance or equivalent
  • 16+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in multi-vertical or project-based organizations
  • Proven experience in leading and managing team size of 8–10 members
