Job Description

Job Title: Academic Counselor – EdTech Sales | Student Counseling & Admissions

Location: Andheri East, MIDC, Mumbai

Salary: ₹6 LPA – ₹10 LPA

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Timings: 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in EdTech sales, academic counseling, or related fields



We are looking for a motivated Academic Counselor to join our team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about guiding students in their educational and career journeys and who possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.


As an Academic Counselor, you will assist prospective students with understanding programs, navigating the admissions process, and exploring career opportunities, while supporting the admissions team in driving enrollments and ensuring a positive student experience.


Key Responsibilities

Student & Career Counseling


Provide personalized guidance to prospective students regarding academic programs, curriculum, fees, and prerequisites.


Offer career counseling on industry trends, job opportunities, upskilling paths, and relevant certifications.


Admissions & Enrollment


Assist students throughout the admissions process, including application submissions, interviews, and documentation.


Follow up with leads and inquiries to ensure successful conversions and meet enrollment targets.


Communication & Presentations


Conduct presentations, online counseling sessions, and in-person meetings to explain program benefits and career outcomes.


Documentation & Record Management


Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, follow-up actions, and student feedback using CRM or other record-keeping tools.


Collaboration & Relationship Management


Coordinate with marketing and admissions teams to achieve enrollment goals.


Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and educational partners to support engagement and retention.


Industry Awareness


Stay updated on educational and analytics industry trends to provide informed guidance.


Preferred Candidate Profile


Minimum 1 year of experience in EdTech sales, academic counseling, or similar roles


Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English


Strong interpersonal and customer-facing abilities


Effective negotiation and lead-conversion skills


Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools for data management
