Zonal Sales Manager – Food Industry (HoReCa / Retail / Distribution) We are looking for a proactive and experienced Zonal Sales Manager to lead and expand our customer base, drive sales growth, and manage team performance across multiple territories. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in strategic sales and customer relationship management. Key Responsibilities: Customer Base Management: Strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying growth opportunities within the region. Promotion Strategy: Conceptualize and implement promotion and marketing strategies to enhance product visibility and drive business growth. Sales Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the regional sales team to ensure achievement of sales targets and performance goals. Sales Budgeting & Planning: Prepare and manage regional sales budgets and forecasts; align inventory planning with market demand. Inventory Management: Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure stock availability and efficient inventory turnover. Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance through regular reviews, set KPIs, and take corrective actions where necessary. Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned regions to increase market penetration. Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with marketing, logistics, and product teams to support business initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction. Customer Interaction: Conduct field visits to high-value clients, resolve issues, and gather market insights for strategic decisions. Reporting: Provide periodic sales reports, forecasts, and feedback to senior management. Preferred Candidate Profile: Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in a customer-facing sales or managerial role. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of HoReCa, retail distribution, or FMCG segments. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate large field teams. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in sales analytics, market trend analysis, and inventory planning. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Location Preference: Candidates from or willing to relocate to Kerala, especially Kottayam, preferred.
