Role Overview

Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM)

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Sales Target Achievement:

    Lead the execution of sales strategies within the assigned zone to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic Planning:

    Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Market Expansion:

    Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer network by targeting new clients and markets.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

    Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular performance updates to senior management.

2. Team Management & Development

  • Leadership:

    Manage and lead a team of sales managers and executives across the zone, ensuring motivation, engagement, and alignment with business goals.
  • Training & Coaching:

    Provide ongoing training to enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and team performance.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    Track team and individual KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective measures.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:

    Oversee recruitment and onboarding to ensure the team is adequately staffed with skilled professionals.

3. Sales Execution & Market Penetration

  • Customer Acquisition:

    Drive new customer acquisition and ensure focus on the right target segments.
  • Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, clients, and channel partners.
  • Lead Conversion:

    Improve lead conversion rates through process optimization and efficient pipeline management.

4. Reporting & Analytics

  • Sales Analysis:

    Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
  • Reporting:

    Prepare and present periodic sales reports and performance reviews to senior leadership.
  • Strategic Insights:

    Offer actionable insights and recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness.

5. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Policy Adherence:

    Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Risk Mitigation:

    Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to operations, clients, or sales processes.

6. Customer & Market Focus

  • Customer-Centric Approach:

    Promote a customer-first culture and ensure excellent customer service delivery.
  • Market Intelligence:

    Stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in any discipline. An

    MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field

    is preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum

    8–10 years of experience

    in sales, including at least

    5 years in a leadership role

    within

    financial services, housing finance, or home loans.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets while managing high-performing teams.
