What's the Role About?
As a Area Sales Manager, you'll play the role of a mini-CEO, driving Airtel's success in your region. You'll lead a high-performing team and work with partners to strengthen our distribution network, boost sales, and exceed targets. Your leadership will directly impact the company's growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
- Market Expansion: Grow Airtel's footprint by increasing the number of SIM and data-selling outlets in your region.
- Data-Driven Planning: Analyze market trends, competition, and reports to develop actionable sales strategies.
- Team Development: Guide and coach your team to succeed and take on larger responsibilities.
- Partner Management: Build strong relationships with distribution partners to ensure profitability and satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer service, and market communication teams to achieve key business outcomes.
- Stay Competitive: Keep the marketing team updated on competitor activities and market changes.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience: 5+ years in telecom, FMCG, or related industries.
- Education: Postgraduate degree in business management (PGDM/MBA).

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills.
