Job Title: Workshop Lead

Department:

Job Summary:

The Workshop Lead is responsible for managing the overall repair and maintenance operations of the workshop. The role ensures that all vehicles are serviced efficiently, technical teams are well-coordinated, costs are optimized, and the highest quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the technical team to ensure smooth daily workshop operations.
Allocate and manage technical manpower based on workload (e.g., for 2000 vehicle load).
Maintain the workshop infrastructure, tools, and equipment in proper working condition.
Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify improvement areas and reduce downtime.
Control and minimize parts consumption through efficient repair practices.
Manage and coordinate with local vendors for parts procurement and service requirements.
Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and safety standards.
Source and develop technical manpower as per operational needs.
Implement the Delegation Cycle for effective team management and performance improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
1820 years of experience in automobile maintenance, workshop, or fleet operations.
Strong technical background and ability to guide the team on complex repairs.
Knowledge of data analysis for tracking performance and cost optimization.
Experience in vendor management and sourcing of technical manpower.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

Experience in fleet maintenance or large-scale automobile workshop management.
Immediate joiners preferred.
