Role Responsibilities Manage and maintain VMware environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter servers. Perform regular system health checks and audits on virtual infrastructures. Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager. Administer and monitor virtual machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Configure and maintain networking for virtual environments. Respond to and resolve technical support tickets related to VMware issues. Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement best practices for system management. Document all system changes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately. Conduct regular backups of virtual machines and verify recoverability. Assist in planning and executing system upgrades and migrations. Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning for future needs. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to virtualization technologies. Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and enhancements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VMware technologies and industry trends. Support compliance with security policies and procedures across the virtual environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. 3+ years of experience in VMware administration. Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions in a VMware context. Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash. Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and VLANs. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. ITIL certification is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring tools to assess system performance. Experience with server hardware and storage solutions. Ability to document processes and procedures effectively. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. This is an on-site position based in India.
