Role & responsibilities 1. Vendor Management: Lead end- end to vendor base management and explore opportunities to expand the vendor base Assess vendor capacity and capability for scalability. Monitor vendor performance, quality, and delivery timelines. Vendor expansion: Identify potential new vendors, negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors. Anticipate potential challenges or disruptions in vendor supply. Develop contingency plans to address shortages or delays. 2. Timely Inwards of Garments: Oversee the entire garment procurement process for Western wear and bottom wear Ensure timely receipt of garments from vendors; monitor and enforce adherence to Turn Around Time (TAT) Data Management: Ensure daily update of the relevant production trackers Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline inwards processes Optimize allocation of resources based on category priorities Implement corrective actions when TAT is not met 3. Cost Optimization: Analyze costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Invent negotiation strategies to secure profitable deals. Optimize sourcing procedures to achieve maximum efficiency 4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that sourced products meet quality standards and comply with company guidelines. Collaborate with Quality Control teams to address any quality-related issues promptly 5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams (Design, Production, and Merchandising) to align sourcing activities with business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.

Create fabric and concept decks based on research and client requirement(can be seasonal /specific asks/fabric/product presentations. Ability to create clear informative detailed tech packs, with clear, organised follow up to make high quality samples. Creating cads on illustrator/photoshop (illustrator, photoshop, ppt, excels, cad based softwares) - essential. Checking initial fitting and design intent of all developed samples independently as well as with tech team wherever required. Take ownership on fabric propositions from design end by working with fabric team for information before sharing with buyer. Data keeping of all information at design stage in form of WIPS Create concepts/fabrics/trims and samples keeping costs in mind Clients / Vendor Interactions. Job Summary: The Category Head / Buying Head will be responsible for leading the end-to-end category strategy, assortment planning, vendor management, and performance of the assigned category. The role requires a deep understanding of customer behavior, market trends, and strong negotiation and leadership skills to drive business growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company goals and consumer trends. Lead a team of buyers and category managers to curate a competitive and profitable product assortment. Analyze market and consumer trends to identify new opportunities and gaps in the category. Drive pricing, promotion, and assortment strategies to maximize sales and margin. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for the best terms (price, delivery, payment). Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure product availability and service levels. Track and manage category performance metrics including revenue, gross margin, inventory turns, and sell-through rates. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, operations, and e-commerce teams to ensure seamless execution of category plans. Optimize inventory levels and reduce aging stock through efficient planning and exit strategies. Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or related field. MBA preferred. 1518 years of experience in category management, buying, or merchandising, preferably in fashion/e-commerce/Retail. Proven track record of P&L ownership and delivering category growth. Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills. Excellent understanding of retail/e-commerce dynamics and customer preferences. Proficiency in tools like Excel, ERP systems, and BI tools.
