Additionally, you will develop specification sheets that encompass details such as sizing, fabric types, seam construction, trims, and finishing techniques. Collaboration with pattern makers, production teams, and designers is essential to guarantee the practicality and manufacturability of each design. Quality control is a key focus of your responsibilities, as you will be required to establish checkpoints throughout the sampling and production processes. Your role involves conducting thorough inspections during pre-production and post-production phases, assessing measurements, workmanship, and finishing to maintain the desired standards. You will also be responsible for auditing fabrics and trims in-house, approving only those that meet our stringent quality requirements. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in garment tech or production development within the fashion industry. Strong technical skills in fit, finishing, and understanding fabric behavior are essential. Previous experience working with Western wear or made-to-measure garments is highly desirable. Proficiency in creating spec packs, conducting sample reviews, and evaluating garment construction is necessary to succeed in this position.
