Assistant Sourcing Manager

Role & responsibilities 1. Vendor Management: Lead end- end to vendor base management and explore opportunities to expand the vendor base Assess vendor capacity and capability for scalability. Monitor vendor performance, quality, and delivery timelines. Vendor expansion: Identify potential new vendors, negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors. Anticipate potential challenges or disruptions in vendor supply. Develop contingency plans to address shortages or delays. 2. Timely Inwards of Garments: Oversee the entire garment procurement process for Western wear and bottom wear Ensure timely receipt of garments from vendors; monitor and enforce adherence to Turn Around Time (TAT) Data Management: Ensure daily update of the relevant production trackers Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline inwards processes Optimize allocation of resources based on category priorities Implement corrective actions when TAT is not met 3. Cost Optimization: Analyze costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Invent negotiation strategies to secure profitable deals. Optimize sourcing procedures to achieve maximum efficiency 4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that sourced products meet quality standards and comply with company guidelines. Collaborate with Quality Control teams to address any quality-related issues promptly 5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams (Design, Production, and Merchandising) to align sourcing activities with business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
