Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Operate the weighbridge equipment efficiently and accurately to weigh vehicles and goods, ensuring compliance with company protocols and government regulations.
Maintain a detailed and accurate log of all incoming and outgoing vehicles and goods, recording their weights and ensuring that all documentation is correctly filed and up to date.
Work closely with the logistics and operations teams to coordinate the incoming and outgoing movement of vehicles, minimizing congestion and delays at the weighbridge.
Ensure that all safety and operational procedures are adhered to, performing routine checks and maintenance on weighbridge equipment to prevent operational downtime.
Provide excellent customer service to drivers and transportation personnel, offering guidance and assistance as required while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in operating weighbridge systems in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, specifically with systems used for logistics and supply chain management.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to accurately record and report on weight data and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external clients and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Willingness to work onsite at our Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India location, demonstrating commitment to serving the logistical needs of our operations center there.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the weighing operations, ensuring all goods and vehicles are weighed accurately and all relevant data is captured systematically into company systems.
Regularly update and manage access permissions to the weighbridge system, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access while maintaining system security through our internal directory structure.
Collaborate with the team to implement and optimize ERP solutions tailored to enhance the efficiency and productivity of weighbridge operations.
Develop and conduct regular training sessions for staff on weighbridge operations and safety protocols to ensure a high standard of operation and safety is maintained at all times.
Participate in regular audits and compliance checks, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure transparency and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
