Job Description

Position Summary

The EU REACH Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with the EU REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals) regulation. This role involves managing the registration, documentation, and compliance processes related to chemical substances used in the company s products. The EU REACH Coordinator will work closely with regulatory authorities, internal departments, and external partners to ensure all chemical substances meet the required safety standards

Responsibilities will include:

Regulatory Compliance:

1. Ensure the company s compliance with EU REACH regulations by managing the registration, evaluation, and authorization processes. 2. Monitor updates to REACH regulations and communicate necessary changes to relevant stakeholders within the organization. 3. Maintain and update the company s chemical inventory in line with REACH requirements. Ensure that imported quantities correspond with the registered tonnage band. 4. Complete UFI and PCN registrations, as required for any Actylis site located in Europe.

Documentation and Reporting:

1. Prepare and submit registration dossiers to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in a timely manner. 2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all REACH-related documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Chemical Safety Reports (CSR), and other required reports. 3. Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary data for REACH submissions and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.

Substance Management:

1. Work with suppliers to obtain necessary data on chemical substances and ensure their compliance with REACH requirements. 2. Manage the company s SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list and ensure proper communication of risks and safety measures.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

1. Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other external partners to stay informed on REACH developments and best practices. 2. Collaborate with internal departments such as R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure all chemical substances meet regulatory standards. 3. Provide guidance and training to internal teams on REACH compliance and related topics.

Risk Management:

1. Conduct risk assessments for chemical substances used within the company s operations and products. 2. Develop and implement strategies to minimize the risk of non-compliance with REACH regulations. 3. Manage and respond to any compliance issues or concerns raised by regulatory authorities.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of REACH compliance programs and make recommendations for improvement. 2. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new developments in chemical safety and regulation. 3. Lead initiatives to improve the company s chemical management practices and ensure ongoing compliance.

Required Experience & Knowledge

Educational Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.

Experience Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably with a focus on EU REACH regulations. In-depth knowledge of EU REACH regulation and related chemical safety standards. Experience with chemical registration, documentation, and risk assessment processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Proficient in regulatory compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
