Logistics Assistant Manager Air & Sea Freight (Import & Export)

Job Purpose:

Air & Sea freight import and export operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and monitor

  end-to-end Air & Sea freight operations

  for imports and exports.
• Prepare and verify

  shipping documents

  such as Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Letter of Credit, and Shipping Bill.
• Ensure

  compliance with customs, DGFT, excise, GST, and international trade regulations

  .
• Coordinate with

  freight forwarders, airlines, shipping lines, CHA, transporters, and overseas agents

  .
• Track shipments and provide timely status updates to internal stakeholders.
  
• Negotiate

  freight rates and contracts

  with vendors to achieve cost efficiency.
• Manage and resolve issues related to

  delays, demurrage, detention, and insurance claims

  .
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance, costs, and lead times; maintain

  MIS reports

  .
• Ensure adherence to

  HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment)

  and company policies.
• Drive

  continuous improvement in logistics operations

  to enhance efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  Air & Sea Freight forwarding operations, import/export procedures, and INCO terms

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  customs clearance and international documentation

  .
• Excellent

  vendor management and negotiation skills

  .
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
  
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel, ERP/SAP, or logistics management systems

  .
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight timelines.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate / Post Graduate in

  Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or Commerce

  .

• 5 to 10 years of experience

  in Import & Export logistics (Air & Sea).
• Experience in

  manufacturing, trading, or logistics companies

  preferred.
