Role Description

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned leader to head our lending business at a national level. As the Vice President – Lending, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end sales strategy and execution across SME, Personal Loans (PL), and Loan Against Property (LAP) segments. This role requires deep expertise in retail lending, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of scaling lending businesses across diverse geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the national lending business for SME, PL, and LAP verticals with full P&L ownership.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and achieve business targets across all product lines.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team across regions and channels.
  • Collaborate closely with risk, product, credit, and operations teams to ensure robust end-to-end execution.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive geographical expansion.
  • Drive innovation in customer acquisition strategies and channel development (DSA, DST, digital, etc).
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Leverage data to monitor performance, derive insights, and optimize processes.
  • Represent the business externally with key stakeholders, partners, and alliances.

Attributes We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 17–20 years of total experience in financial services with at least 5+ years as a National Sales Head in a mid to large scale NBFC, fintech, or small finance bank.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of SME lending, Personal Loans (PL), and Loan Against Property (LAP) products and markets.
  • Leadership: Strong people management and leadership skills with experience handling large sales teams across regions.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive strategy and execution simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is a must; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
