What you'll be responsible for?
- Legal Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage legal risks across the company's pan-India operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal risks in collaboration with business units.
- Provide legal advice and support to senior management on various legal issues.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Navigate and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks in the education and healthcare sectors across different countries.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that could impact the company and advise on necessary adjustments.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external counsel as needed.
- Business Collaboration:
- Work closely with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide legal guidance that aligns with business goals.
- Facilitate effective communication between the legal function and other departments to ensure integrated risk management.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and accurate legal support.
- Encourage continuous professional development within the legal team.
- Contract Management:
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and manage any disputes that arise.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution:
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, including liaising with external legal counsel.
- Develop strategies to resolve disputes efficiently and minimize legal exposure.
