Vice President Finance

As the Head of Finance and Accounts at our client's dynamic and rapidly growing fashion start-up based in India, your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage all financial activities and ensure compliance while providing strategic financial insights to drive key business decisions. You will oversee accounting operations, budgeting, and financial reporting to maintain sustainable profitability for the organization. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's goals, providing data-driven financial insights to support strategic business decisions, leading the annual budgeting process, monitoring budget performance, and recommending necessary adjustments. You will also be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and record-keeping, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and timely preparation of financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Additionally, you will manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize working capital, ensure proper tax planning and compliance with GST, income tax, and other relevant laws, identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, and collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and contribute to business growth strategies. To qualify for this role, you should hold a CA/MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification, have 3+ years of experience preferably within fashion, retail, or e-commerce sectors, possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation, be proficient in financial software and ERP systems, and demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
