Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented US Tax Manager to oversee our organization’s tax compliance, planning, and reporting for federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax strategy, ensuring timely filings, minimizing tax liabilities, and staying compliant with U.S. tax laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns, including consolidated returns. Supervise quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740), including deferred tax analysis and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and keep up with legislative changes that impact the company. Manage and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities. Respond to and manage tax audits and notices from IRS or state tax authorities. Analyze the tax impact of business operations, acquisitions, and restructurings. Train, mentor, and manage junior tax staff or team members. Maintain proper documentation for tax positions and ensure SOX compliance (if applicable). Collaborate with finance, legal, and business units to support operational and strategic decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred). CPA certification required. Minimum 6–10 years of relevant U.S. tax experience (public accounting and/or corporate tax department). Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and multi-state corporate tax laws. Experience with tax provision software (e.g., ONESOURCE, Corptax, or similar) and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with international tax (FDII, GILTI, BEAT) is a plus. Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and ASC 740 requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax research tools (e.g., CCH, BNA).
