US Accounting Specialist

Job Title: US Accounting Specialist (Pune – India)

Location: Pune (India)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced US Accounting Specialist to manage day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities. Prior experience supporting US-based IT staffing firms is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

· Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

· Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports.

· Ensure compliance with US GAAP, federal/state tax laws, and other financial regulations.

· Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

· Collaborate with the US-based finance and payroll teams to streamline operations.

· Monitor and manage client invoicing, payment tracking, and collections.

· Stay updated on changes in US tax regulations and accounting standards; suggest improvements to internal processes.

Required Qualifications:

· 2+ years of hands-on experience in US accounting, preferably in a US IT staffing firm.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.

· Solid understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance.

· Prior experience working in PST time zone is essential.

· Ability to handle sensitive financial data with integrity and confidentiality.

· Excellent communication skills and a self-starter attitude in a fully remote environment.

· Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
