We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Urban Planner with 5-7 years of experience to contribute to sustainable land use, community development, and urban design projects. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of comprehensive plans, conduct research and analysis, and engage with stakeholders to create vibrant, equitable, and resilient communities.Key Responsibilities

Conduct research and analysis on land use, zoning, transportation, environmental impacts, and demographic trends using GIS and other planning tools.
Assist in preparing and reviewing comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances, site plans, and development proposals.
Facilitate community engagement through public meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations to gather input and build consensus.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, public officials, and developers, to ensure projects align with regulatory requirements and community needs.
Prepare reports, maps, graphics, and presentations for planning commissions, city councils, and public hearings.
Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and recommend adjustments to plans as needed.
Stay current on emerging trends in urban planning, sustainability, and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Geography, Public Policy, or a related field (Master's preferred).
3-4 years of professional experience in urban or regional planning, preferably in a public agency, consulting firm, or related role.
Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS), Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or similar tools for mapping and visualization.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and report writing.
Knowledge of zoning laws, environmental regulations, and sustainable planning principles.
