About the Role:

Transportation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation Planning & Execution:

• Oversee daily dispatches from central and regional warehouses to 300+ stores across India.
• Plan and optimize routes, truck utilization, and cost structures for primary and secondary transportation.

• Vendor & Fleet Management:

• Manage transporters and 3PL partners; ensure timely deliveries and adherence to SLAs.
• Negotiate freight rates and monitor vendor performance to achieve cost and service efficiency.

• Documentation & Compliance:

• Supervise

  challan management

  e-way bills

  , and ensure full statutory compliance for all shipments.
• Maintain proper transport documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

• System & Portal Management:

• Manage and update the

  transportation management portal / ERP system

  for shipment tracking and reporting.
• Drive digitization initiatives to improve transport visibility and real-time tracking.

• Cost & Performance Management:

• Monitor logistics costs, analyze trends, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Track KPIs – on-time delivery, freight cost per ton/km, and service quality.

• Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Work closely with Warehouse, Procurement, Finance, and Store Operations teams to ensure seamless dispatch and delivery.
• Support business growth and store expansion through scalable transportation planning.

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in

  Logistics, Supply Chain Management

  , or a related field.
• Minimum

  10 years of experience

  in

  transportation/logistics management

  within

  retail or FMCG

  industries.
• Proven experience in

  PAN India trucking logistics

  and

  warehouse-to-retail distribution

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  TMS / ERP systems

  , transport documentation, and vendor handling.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and team management skills.
