Transportation Manager

As a Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the transportation department to ensure efficient and effective transportation services. Your key responsibilities will include: - Planning and coordinating transportation schedules to schedule vehicle routes for timely dispatch and delivery across distribution hubs and post offices. - Managing fleet operations to ensure compliance with transport regulations and postal service protocols. - Coordinating with RTOs for permit renewals, inspections, and license verification for mail van drivers. - Handling emergency repairs and vehicle breakdowns to resolve issues with minimal impact on delivery schedules. - Enforcing safety and security procedures for transporting confidential and critical postal materials. - Supervising the transport workforce, including mail van drivers, loaders, and mechanics. - Submitting regular MIS reports to track and analyze transportation operations effectively.
