You will be responsible for installing solar panels, inverters, and other system components on rooftops, ground mounts, or other structures. Your tasks will include ensuring proper wiring and connections for optimal performance and safety. It will be your duty to conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on solar power systems. In case of faults in PV systems, you will be required to diagnose and repair issues, both electrical and mechanical. Your role will also involve assisting in site evaluations by taking measurements and analyzing shading conditions. System testing to verify output efficiency and troubleshoot performance issues will be part of your responsibilities. You must adhere strictly to safety guidelines and electrical codes during installations. Additionally, it is imperative that all your work meets local, national, and industry-specific regulations. As a solar technician, you will maintain records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. You will also be expected to report system performance data and provide recommendations for improvements. Guiding customers on system usage, troubleshooting, and energy-saving best practices will be crucial aspects of your job.
