Job title: Transportation planner/ Transportation Manager

Location: In- Office

Terms: Full time (Monday to Saturday)

About the role and responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day transportation operations, including identifying, sourcing, and placing trucks from the market in alignment with client requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate and oversee vehicle movement at both loading (source) and unloading (destination) points, ensuring timely dispatch, transit, and delivery.
  • Maintain continuous communication with drivers to monitor trip progress and promptly address any delays or issues during transit.
  • Track shipments in real-time and provide regular updates and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collect and organize key transport documents such as vehicle papers, payment details, and proof of delivery, and ensure timely dissemination via designated company WhatsApp groups.
  • Prepare and issue loading documents, ensuring accurate sharing with both drivers and clients to facilitate smooth loading and delivery processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transport activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Report directly to the business owner(s), providing regular updates on operational performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience- 4-5 years
  • Good communication skills
  • Graduate in any discipline (preferably commerce background)
  • Knowledge about transport sector
  • Good salesperson
