Job Description

Role & responsibilitie

L&D Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive a comprehensive

    L&D strategy

    aligned with the business needs of diverse units including:
    • Defence & Strategic Communication

    • WiFi and 5G R&D

    • Telecom Project Delivery

    • Railways & Metro Infrastructure

    • EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

    • Optical Fibre & Optical Fibre Cable Manufacturing Units

  • Collaborate with Business Unit Heads to identify skill gaps and training needs across technical, behavioral, and leadership competencies.
  • Design

    annual training calendars

    , learning paths, certification programs, and onboarding modules tailored to each vertical.
  • Implement modern

    digital learning platforms

    , e-learning, and blended learning models to support scalable L&D solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal/external SMEs, technical trainers, and external vendors to deliver customized programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using

    Kirkpatricks model

    or equivalent methods and continuously refine learning content.
  • Lead initiatives for

    leadership development, succession planning

    , and

    high-potential talent programs

    .
  • Manage L&D budgets, training MIS, dashboards, and audit requirements in alignment with QMS and HR policies.

Desired Profile:

  • 8–12 years

    of experience in Learning & Development roles; preferably in manufacturing, telecom, EPC, or R&D-driven organizations.
  • Proven experience in

    managing training across multiple business units

    and technical domains.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and instructional design skills.
  • Familiarity with

    LMS systems

    , digital learning tools, and capability development frameworks.
  • Exposure to functions like R&D, Engineering Projects, Manufacturing, and Field Operations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and program management abilities.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / HR
  • Master’s Degree / MBA in HR or relevant field preferred
  • Certifications in Instructional Design, TTT, Coaching, or related L&D frameworks will be an added advantage
