Role & responsibilities HFCL is looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Assistant Product Manager Consumer Devices to join our dynamic product team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about consumer technology, innovation, and delivering user-centric products. You will support the product lifecycle of HFCLs consumer device portfoliosuch as home routers, mesh Wi-Fi systems, and IoT-enabled smart devicesby collaborating closely with R&D, marketing, and sales teams. As part of a high-growth environment, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to product strategy, conduct market and competitive research, and help shape the next generation of connected consumer products from HFCL. Assist in managing the product lifecycle of consumer devices from concept to launch and beyond. Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with market needs. Conduct competitor analysis, customer feedback research, and trend tracking to support product positioning and strategy. Draft and maintain detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and work with internal teams to meet delivery timelines. Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to define go-to-market plans, packaging, promotions, and product messaging. Analyze product performance and user engagement to recommend updates, improvements, or new features. Support in onboarding vendors, managing BOM (Bill of Materials), and coordinating certifications and compliance processes. Engage with customer support to track field issues and gather insights for continuous product improvement. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.), preferably in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields. experience in product management, technical marketing, or product development in the consumer electronics or telecom domain. Basic understanding of consumer networking devices (e.g., routers, Wi-Fi mesh systems), IoT trends, and user experience design. Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Experience in creating PRDs, conducting user research, and coordinating product testing is a plus.
