Assistant Product Manager Switches

Role & responsibilities HFCL is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Product Manager Switches to join our growing Product Management team in Bangalore. This role supports the development, positioning, and lifecycle management of HFCLs Ethernet switch portfolio, working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams. You will assist in analyzing market trends, defining product requirements, and driving execution in line with the company's strategic objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in networking and a passion for building innovative products in the enterprise and telecom domain. Assist in the end-to-end product lifecycle management of Layer 2/3 managed switches, from concept to launch. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and QA teams to define product specifications and ensure timely delivery of product milestones. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for differentiation. Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements and translate them into PRDs (Product Requirement Documents). Support pricing strategies, go-to-market plans, and positioning in collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Coordinate product demos, trials, and field feedback with pre-sales and customer support teams. Monitor product performance metrics, customer feedback, and suggest enhancements or new features. Maintain product documentation, including datasheets, FAQs, and internal training materials. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) – preferably in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science. product management, pre-sales, technical support, or R&D in networking or related domains. Basic understanding of networking technologies such as Ethernet, VLANs, STP, LACP, SNMP, Layer 2/3 protocols, etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset. Excellent communication and coordination skills to work cross-functionally. Familiarity with networking test tools, documentation tools, and product development lifecycle is a plus.
