Responsibilities:

Designation: Actuarial Analyst

Indicative years of experience: Freshers
Business Unit: ITeS
Location: Pune/Hybrid/Remote
Role Description: Actuarial analyst is expected to work independently with the internal & external stakeholder while playing a role of SME on one or more technical areas. They are also expected to guide and mentor junior members in the team
  • Ensuring timely and quality delivery, minimizing escalations, acting as a bridge between home office and Pune team
  • Should Have understanding in one or more actuarial domains like valuation, pricing & reporting on Individual Life and Annuity products.
  • Should be well versed with recent regulations, or, demonstrate capability and willingness to understand them.
  • Should be willing to work on short or long duration projects & quickly upskill themselves as the need arises.
  • Should believe in learning new tools and technologies and be ready to use them to propose new solutions.
  • Complete Analysis & documentation as required by the project
  • Follow established project execution processes
  • Resolve queries/issues and provide Application/functional support to peers & juniors
  • Build holistic understanding of applications & underlying domain being supported
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Bring industry wide best practices and understand external technology trends. Should be able to relate those trends to the workplace.
  • Meet onshore stakeholders’ expectations on quality and timeliness.
  • The person should be a strong proponent of Actuarial practice and conducting roadshows (or other Sessions) to demonstrate it.
Qualifications:
Preferred to have one or more of the following areas:
  • Understanding Life Insurance/Annuity products
  • Should have a knack to learn Actuarial Projection Software’s preferably MG ALFA
  • Exposure to VBA/SAS/R/Power BI or any other data tool
  • Exposure to US Life and Annuity products is an added advantage
  • Able to manage quick turnaround projects
  • Comply with PGS / BU specific practices
  • Provide Support to Manager/Sr. Manager / Group Manager/ head of operations for estimation and risk identification. Mitigate technical, functional and people related risks
  • Technical mentorship
  • Build actuarial expertise.
  • Be an SME in one or more areas.
  • Contribute towards BU maturity in actuarial credentials and technical areas.
Additional Information:
Education: Graduate Bachelors degree (any stream)
Other: Strong technical skills.
Good aptitude, positive attitude, strong reasoning and communication skills. Must be a good team player. Good analytical skills, research oriented. Sound knowledge of Principal Financial Group specific application. Ability to resolve questions/issues related to the application as a Subject matter expert, ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Good actuarial exam progress.

Reporting relationship: This role will report to Sr. Consultant - Actuarial or Manager - Actuarial.
