Job Title: Textile MerchandiserJob Description

The Textile Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the entire merchandising process, from product development to shipment. This role involves coordinating with buyers, suppliers, production teams, and quality departments to ensure smooth execution of orders within deadlines and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with buyers to understand requirements, specifications, and order details.
• Develop product samples and coordinate with design, sourcing, and production teams.
• Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Prepare costing sheets, price quotes, and maintain accurate order documentation.
• Follow up on production schedules, sampling, approvals, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor quality at various stages to ensure compliance with buyer standards.
• Coordinate with logistics teams for shipment planning, documentation, and dispatch.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, mills, dyeing units, and factories.
• Track inventory, consumption, production status, and resolve issues quickly.
• Analyze market trends and support product development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and production processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of costing, sourcing, and order management.
• Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and work in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and merchandising software/tools (if applicable).

Experience

• 1 to 5 years of experience in textile or apparel merchandising (depending on company level).
• Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
